With sadness, we mourn the passing of Bernadette M. Stephan of Marlborough, MA, formerly of Buffalo, NY, who passed away on January 21, 2018 at the age of 74. Her husband and soulmate of 28 years, Donald P. Williams, Sr., preceded her in death in May 2010. She was a loving babcia to Benjamin Xander Stephan and mother to Alan Christopher (Shona) Stephan of Marlborough, MA. She is also survived by her aunt, Wanda H. Medwid and cousin, John G. Medwid of Amherst, NY.
Bernadette was born on September 15, 1943, in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Antoinette and Bernard Malanowicz who predeceased her in 1981 and 1987 respectively. She graduated from East High School (1961) and the State University of New York at Buffalo (1968) with a degree in Business Management and Financial Management. Bernadette worked her way up in the banking world eventually becoming Vice President of Charitable and Corporate Asset Management and later Foundation Management at Fleet Bank. She received several special recognitions by Fleet Bank over the years. She was also a licensed real estate agent in both New York and Massachusetts.
