Christopher J. Stegman, 63, of West Acton, MA, beloved husband of Janice Rosenblum, passed away on August 25, 2016 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland, MA after a lengthy illness.
Born in Jamaica, NY and raised in Garden City South on Long Island, NY, Chris was the son of the late Veronica and George Stegman.
Chris is survived by his wife and soulmate Janice and 6 brothers and sisters: Daphne Stegman of Sherman Oaks, CA, Denise Stegman (and her husband Richard Gannon) of Greensboro, NC, Deirdre Stegman of Woodside, CA, Anthony Stegman of San Jose, CA, James Stegman (and his wife Nancy Holzman) of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Stephanie Joumas (and her husband Robert Joumas) of Haymarket, VA. Chris was also uncle to Mirren Hatfield, Kate Stegman-Wise, Liza Boch, Lucy Boch, Liam Stegman, Devan Stegman, Daniel Joumas, Stephen Joumas, and Patrick Joumas. Chris was pre-deceased by his niece Sarah Stegman-Wise.
Chris is also survived by his loving mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lenore and Ira Rosenblum of Delray Beach, FL and sister-in-law Andrea Rosenblum Reynolds and her husband Michael Reynolds of Dania, FL. Part of his extended family, Chris is also survived by Joel Kravett, son of friends Michael and Sara Kravett and Trey Gayne, son of friends Rick and Kathy Gayne, who affectionately called him Uncle Chris.
A graduate of Cornell University where he met his wife Janice, Chris was employed for many years as controller by Crocker & Winsor Seafoods,Needham,MA.
A gathering for friends and family to share memories of Chris and to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 2pm at the Gallery at West Acton Villageworks (westactonvillageworks.com), located at 525-545 Mass Avenue, West Acton, MA 01720.
