Claire Belmonte, 96, of Marlborough, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Marie Esther Health Center in Marlborough, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Angelina (Casazza) Belmonte and the sister of the late Carl Belmonte and Louise Belmonte.
A former resident of Somerville, MA, Claire worked for the IRS in Boston. After retirement, she and Louise moved to Marlborough into a house that her brother Carl helped to build. She was an excellent cook and baker, delighting her family with her wonderful cookies for every holiday and special occasion.
Claire is survived by her six nieces and nephews and their spouses and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 9:30 - 10:30 am on Monday, November 19, at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St, Marlborough, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, MA.
Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St. in Boston, MA.
