Patriotic Emblem

James R. Burke, Sr., 80, of Webster, MA, died Monday, June 26, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late John and Viola (Lacey) Burke and the husband of Jean (Voutas) Burke of Webster. He had also been the husband of the late Marjorie (Fontaine).
Jim had been employed as a machinist at Wyman-Gordon in Grafton until retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, golf, camping in Richmond, RI, and tailgating at Salty Brine Beach, Point Judith, RI.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, James R. Burke, Jr., of W. Boylston, his daughters, Brenda Shibley and her husband John of Falling Waters, WV and Pamela Carlson and her husband Kenneth of Hubbardston, MA, his sister, Patricia Sweeney and her husband Daniel of Auburn, MA, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July at 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 18 E. Main St., Webster, MA.
Burial will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster, MA.
There are no funeral home visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA.
