On September 19, 2017, at the age of 65, John Barry Lincoln died at his home in Marlborough MA with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer.
John was born to Walter and Ida (Houle)Lincoln on April 26, 1952 in Boston, MA. John worked in shipping and receiving for many years. He spent most of his free time fishing on Lake Winnipesauke, bowling, and cheering on the Red Sox. He also enjoyed visiting Hampton Beach, the casinos at Mohegan Sun, and always looked forward to the annual cookout to play horseshoes with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Debbie (Groesser) Lincoln; three children, Jeffery Lincoln and his wife Jesse of Lake Worth FL, Barbara Lincoln of Haiku HI, and Jacob Lincoln of Marlborough MA; two grandchildren, Morgan and Mason Lincoln; three siblings Walter Lincoln of Northborough MA, Bella Purcell of Tewksbury MA, and Jeanette Lazarus of Old Orchard Beach ME and many nieces and nephews.
John will be missed by many friends and family members. He lived a life filled with miracles. John always kept his spirits up even through his eleven-year battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 30, at 1:00 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough MA. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon to 1:00 prior to the service.
