Patriotic Emblem

Michael E. Semenchuk, 59 of Marlborough, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Michael and Thelma (Orpin) Semenchuk.
A resident of Waltham for 35 years, Michael returned to Massachusetts in June, 2015 after spending time with his family and enjoying the companionship of his extended family at Burnt Mountain Center in Jasper, GA.
His personality matched his sociability and always happiest when among his family and friends. He had great success in the Track and Field events at the Special Olympics, was extremely patriotic, always showing respect to the flag and those who serve. He also was an Elvis Presley fan and a devotee of NCIS.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard Semenchuk of Ellijay, GA and Kevin Semenchuk and his wife Janice of Winchendon, MA, his sisters, Nancy Mulcahy and Elaine MacKay and her husband James all of Marlborough and several nieces, nephews, grand- nieces and grand-nephews and many cousins. He was also the brother of the late Robert Semenchuk and the brother- in- law of the late David Mulcahy.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 4-7 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 2 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect St., Waltham, MA.
