Rena F. (McCarthy) Tsaousis, 75, of Marlborough, MA, died Tuesday, February 9, 2015 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Rita (Koukourlis) McCarthy.
She had been employed as the office manager for Central Auto in Marlborough for 30 years prior to her retirement.
A graduate of Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing, Rena was formerly employed as one of the first surgical technicians at Marlborough Hospital.
She was devoted to her daughter, Mary, whom she cared for with patience and kindness.
A longtime member of the Moose Lodge and an avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed several cruises and loved spending time at York and Wells Beach.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Edwards and his longtime companion Sharon Di Girolamo of Marlborough, her daughter, Mary Tsaousis of Hudson, her sister, Carol McCarthy ,her nephew, Francis McCarthy and her granddaughter, Andrea Di Girolamo,all of Marlborough and many cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4-6 pm followed by a funeral service at 6:15 at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA.
Burial will be private and held at a later date.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Seven Hills Foundation or Mercy Center, 10 Hammond St, Worcester, MA 01610
