Police Emblem

Robert J. Jusseaume, "Jesse" 86, of Marlborough, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Marlborough Hospital.
Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Louis and Florence (Blanchette) Jusseaume and the husband of Malcolmeen" Mal" (Graves) Jusseaume to whom he had been married for the past 54 years.
He was a graduate of Marlborough High School and Quinsigamond College as well as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
Bob's career was spent in service to the City of Marlborough. He served the community for 40 years as a member of the Marlborough Police Department. He had an outgoing personality, quick wit and was passionate about people. He knew everyone and something about everything. Although he was unable to find the answers, he dedicated many private hours to investigating the unsolved Ice House Murder, which occurred in Marlborough on August 13, 1923.
Following his retirement in 1994 he spent his time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He was always supportive and proud of them, never missing a school program, dance recital or sporting event where they were involved. As a family, they vacationed yearly in Maine and New Hampshire and traveled to Canada often. His knowledge of the history of Marlborough was shared with them on frequent "coffee" rides throughout the City. Elected to the City Council in 1996, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Marlborough and a member of the former St. Mary's Parish.
Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Robert Jusseaume, Jr. and his fiancée, Nikki Paul of Marlborough, his daughters, Joanne Jusseaume of Townsend and Susan Ledoux of Marlborough. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Timothy and Matthew Ledoux, Michelle Johnston, Danielle and Joey Jusseaume as well as Jessica, Shana, Shelby and Dominic, his sister, June Groleau of Oxford and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Roger, Earl, and Wilfred Jusseaume and Russell "Rusty" Jusseaume who died on January 1, 2018.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 2-5 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, MA.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach St., Marlborough, MA.
