Rose Nevins, 95, formerly of Marlborough, MA, December 24, 2016 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, Worcester,MA. Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late James and Sara (Rogers) Nevins.
A graduate of St. Anne's Academy, Marlborough,Rose had been employed as an executive secretary at the former Jordan Marsh Company in Framingham as well as Boston. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Marlborough and had traveled extensively throughout the world. She was a devoted Red Sox fan and celebrated her favorite holiday, Fourth of July, with patriotic pride.
Predeceased by her siblings, Rose is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 9:30–10:30am at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.
Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach St, Marlborough.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, 559 Plantation St., Worcester, MA, 01605
