Carl A. Ledoux, 88, of Marlborough, a quiet and gentle man,died at his home on Valentine's Day. Born and raised in Marlborough,the son of the late Alfred and Regina(Labossiere) Ledoux. He had been the husband of the late Catherine F."Kay" (Donnan) Ledoux, with whom he shared 59 happy years before her death in 2006.
He attended Marlborough High School, where he was known as Lefty Ledoux and lettered in football. He was proud to join the US Navy in 1943 and served honorably in the Pacific during WW II.
He had been employed as a machinist at LaPointes Machine and Tool Co. in Hudson, before retiring in 1987.
As a member of the former St. Mary's Parish, Marlborough, Mr. Ledoux served as a Eucharistic Minister visiting the nursing homes and shut ins, later joining the Immaculate Conception Parish following the closing of St. Mary's. He was a life member of the Elks, the American Legion Post 462, the V.F.W. Post 1027, the Bay Path Square Dance Club and an avid supporter of the Marlborough Panthers.
He is survived by his sons; Robert Ledoux and his wife Selina Marie of Hubbardston, MA, Kenneth Ledoux and his wife Susan of Marlborough and Jack Ledoux of Marlborough, his daughters; Patty Gluszczak and her husband Thomas of Marlborough and Christine Kelley and her husband Rick of Northborough, his grandchildren; Kevin Gluszczak, Debbie Coviello, Sarah Kelley,Nicole Taylor,Rebecca Ledoux,Shawn Kelley, Danny Kelley, Joey Ledoux, Jeff Ledoux, Kristin Ledoux, Timothy Ledoux and Matthew Ledoux; her great grandchildren, Haley Taylor, Trever Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Averie Catherine Taylor, Victoria Coviello, Dillon Pequignot, and Gus Pequignot and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Norbert A. and Raymond A Ledoux.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February, 21, from 4-7:30pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough,
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 22 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach St., Marlborough.
