James T. Robertson, Jr., 70, of Marlborough, MA, died Thursday, January, 17, 2013 at Wingate at Sudbury. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James T. Robertson, Sr. and Virginia (Lester) Robertson and was the husband of the late Marilyn (Vogel) Robertson, who died in 2003.
Jim enlisted in the Us Air Force in 1963, after attending the University of Kentucky. Following his training, he was assigned to duty with the 710thAC&W Squadron in N. Truro, MA. He quickly became one of the squadron's top maintenance technicians for the radar system protecting the Eastern seaboard.
In 1978 he purchased a furniture refurbishing business in Marlborough which he renamed Robertson's Refinishing. He specialized in restoring historical pieces and included the State House in Boston on his client list. He was known for his honesty, sense of humor and hardy laugh. He is survived by his step son, Leonard Ershow and his wife Jillian of Princeton, NJ and their children, Tracy Donohue and Devon Ershow of NY, his significant other, Mary Humes of Marlborough, with whom he shared the past two years of his life and several close friends.
